Mexico’s December billet production rises, 2022 weaker
Mexican billet output increased month-on-month in December, Kallanish notes. Output, however, remained weaker compared to a year earlier.
According to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data, Mexico produced 276,758 tonnes of billet during the month. This was a growth of 2.3% over November but 35,488t less compared to the same period a year earlier.
