Mexico coil production grows in January
Mexican hot and cold rolled coil production began 2023 with an improvement. Output was up month-on-month in January and remained higher on-year, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data monitored by Kallanish.
Mexico produced 313,104 tonnes of HRC during the month, up 6.4% over December and 89,662t more year-on-year. Its value reached MXN 5.19 billion ($277.8 million).
