Mexico’s billet production remains strong in April
Mexican billet output grew sequentially for a third consecutive month in April. Output was also higher compared to a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
According to local statistics provider Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data, Mexico produced 270,031 tonnes of billet during the month. This was a growth of 6.3% over March’s 254,008t and 4,829t more compared with the same period last year. Output in April was the highest …
