Mexico’s August rebar production grows, wire rod declines
Mexico saw rebar output increase both on-month and year-on-year in August, Kallanish notes. Wire rod production, however, remained weak.
According to the local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía's (Inegi) preliminary report, Mexico produced 174,855 tonnes of rebar in August, up 20.6% from July’s 138,781t and 22,584t more year-on-year.
