Ahmsa posts improved results in third quarter
Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) saw its financial performance improve in the third quarter of 2018, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker’s unaudited earnings report. The company says that its lower steel sales volumes were partially offset by an increase of prices in the international market and cost reduction. Ahmsa’s better results were also supported by investments in upgrading its steelmaking and mining equipment, it says.
