Mexico becomes largest LatAm supplier to the US
Latin American steel product shipments into the US increased both on-month and year-on-year in March. The growth was mainly supported by the improvement of shipments from Mexico, which became the leading exporter to the US from the region. LatAm exports were also higher compared to a year ago when Covid-19 impacted the Western Hemisphere, Kallanish notes. Latin America in this context includes South and Central American countries together with Mexico.
