Mexican steelmaking raw materials output falls in July
Mexico saw iron ore output decrease month-on-month in July, as did pellet and first-grade coke production, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data monitored by Kallanish.
Mexico produced 642,099 tonnes of iron ore during July, down 24.1% compared to June and 6.1% less year-on-year. Cumulative output reached 5.9 million tonnes, a growth of 13.2% or 690,138t on January-July 2021.
