Mexico’s August automotive production weakens
Mexican automotive production was almost flat month-on-month in August. It fell on-year, however, and also declined in January-August, Kallanish notes.
According to the Asociación Mexicana de la Indústria Automotriz (Amia), the sector produced 293,463 vehicles in August. This volume was down -0.5% over July and -13.1% down y-o-y.
