Metinvest’s Ilyich upgrades blast furnace and converter
Metinvest’s Ilyich steelworks has invested in the overhaul of blast furnace No.4 and converter No.2, the company says.
The total investment was more than UAH 87.4 million ($3.3m), Kallanish notes.
“The company will step by step upgrade production in line with strict environmental standards, commission new facilities, improve and optimise business processes,” says the plant’s chief executive, Taras Shevchenko.
