Metinvest’s Ilyich upgrades blast furnace aspiration system
Metinvest’s Ilyich steelworks has invested in the construction of new and modernisation of existing aspiration systems for blast furnace No.3, the company says.
The total investment was more than $31 million and unit tests will last about a month.
In May, Ilyich invested UAH 9.2 million ($344,135) in Danieli equipment designed to remove harmful impurities from pig iron. This will improve the quality of hot metal and increase its production.
