Metinvest reduces gas emissions with sinter plant upgrade
Metinvest has completed a large-scale project to modernise the gas cleaning facilities of the sinter plant at its Ilyich steelworks, the company says.
The total investment in equipment upgrades amounted to about $160 million, Kallanish notes. The main supplier of equipment was Italian company Termokimik Corporation. This year the plant allocated UAH 1.55 billion for overhauls of industrial equipment across 21 divisions.
