Metinvest eyes winter electricity imports, blackouts unavoidable: Ryzhenkov
Metinvest is prepared to import electricity again this winter but will not be able to completely avoid blackouts due to infrastructure limitations, according to chief executive Yuriy Ryzhenkov.
Building its own generation capacity to fully support operations is not possible. Instead, the firm has installed generators or modular power plants to provide sufficient electricity to orderly shut down the mill in case of blackouts, Kallanish notes.
