Metinvest first-half output almost halves
Metinvest decreased crude steel production in the first half of the year by 45% on-year to 2.41 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
The Azovstal plant saw steel output fall significantly, by 70% on-year to 683,000 tonnes, due to the ongoing Russian military invasion of Ukraine. The Ilyich plant decreased steel production by 68% to 672,000t.
