Metalloinvest’s OEMK improves pelletising plant energy consumption, durability
Metalloinvest’s OEMK plant will install modern economical filters at its pelletising plant. Instead of steam filters, 11 vacuum filters with ceramic elements will be installed. Total investment in the project will amount to more than RUB 1 billion ($12 million), Kallanish notes.
Vacuum filters are designed for dehydration of iron ore concentrate, which is supplied to OEMK from the Lebedinsky mining and processing plant through a slurry pipeline.
