Metalloinvest signs strategic green steel agreements, expands HBI
Russia’s Metalloinvest and the government of Belgorod region, where the firm's iron ore reserves are located, have signed a strategic agreement to invest into green metallurgy projects, the company says.
As part of the agreement, the firm will invest over RUB 160 billion ($2.2 billion) into the development of Lebedinsky iron ore beneficiation plant (LebGOK) between 2021 and 2026, Kallanish notes.
