Metalloinvest improves ore quality, exports with new facility
Russian iron ore and steel producer Metalloinvest has launched a pilot concentrate beneficiation facility at Mikhailovsky GOK.
The new beneficiation facility will produce various types of concentrate with an iron content of up to 71%, and a low silica content. Total production will reach up to 16.4 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
Metalloinvest has invested over RUB 15 billion ($246 million) into the project. Construction of the new facility started in 2020.…
