Metalloinvest expects electric steel demand to increase
Russian steelmaker Metalloinvest expects that the share of electric steel in its total steel output will grow from the current 21% to 37% by 2030, says the company’s director of strategy and management Yuri Gavrilov.
“The increase will be driven by growing demand for high-quality electric steel production," Gavrilov said at the Global Iron Ore 2021 international conference.
