Metalloinvest decreases first-half output, European pellet demand grows
Russian iron ore and steel producer Metalloinvest raised iron ore output in the first half of the year, but decreased steel and pig iron production. The firm continues its drive to increase the share of high-value-added (HVA) products in the product mix to ride out economic volatility. HVA steel sales increased slightly.
