MEP disgraces Rizhao for steel capacity cut failure
China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection has publicly disgraced Rizhao Iron & Steel and the local Shandong government for ineffective steel overcapacity elimination work. The Shandong local government, however, has long favoured Shandong Iron & Steel Group, which is building its own major steelworks in Rizhao, to the privately-owned Rizhao Iron and Steel, Kallanish notes.
