Accident halts furnace at Tenaris Tamsa tube plant
Mexican tube producer Tenaris Tamsa`s plant has halted production at its furnace No. 1 due to an accident, Kallanish learns from the company. The mill is located in the port city of Veracruz, on the Gulf of Mexico.
According to Tamsa, the furnace collapsed when it was loaded with scrap metal on 9 August. As a consequence, the furnace suffered structural damage and the electrical system of the plant was affected.
