Middle East production follows global trend in November
Crude steel production in the Middle East, comprising ten countries, fell 3.2% on-month in November but rose 4% on-year to 4.8 million tonnes. On a monthly comparison basis, the region's largest two steel producers, Saudi Arabia and Iran, posted a production drop.
Regional 11-month production totalled 48.16mt, a marginal increase of 0.3% from last year's 48mt, Kallanish notes from worldsteel data.
