Morocco could become low-emission export hub: Maghreb Steel
Morocco is a potential hub for low-emission steel production, which it could export. Maghreb Steel has reduced its CO2 emissions intensity from 1.01 tonnes per tonne of crude steel in 2017 to only 145kg/t of crude steel in the first quarter of 2024, according to Rafik Namir, exports and raw materials sourcing manager at Maghreb Steel.
