Maghreb Steel registers lower sales volumes
Maghreb Steel, the Moroccan steelmaker and flats supplier, has registered a 6% y-o-y decline in volumes sold during the first half of this year, to 221,000t.
During the second quarter of 2023, the company registered a recovery in sales to the domestic market, while exports deteriorated significantly.
The lower volumes also pulled down turnover, falling by some 16% y-o-y during the first half of 2023, Kallanish notes.
