Lower raw materials prices impact SHP's Q2 revenue
Shougang Hierro Perú (SHP)’s earnings fell in the first half of 2023, despite increased shipments, due to lower iron ore prices, Kallanish notes.
Six-month shipments totalled 9.14 million tonnes. This was almost 2.1% higher compared with 5.02mt in the same period of 2022. H1 net sales decreased 14.2% on-year to PEN 3.08 billion ($854.8 million), with the second quarter representing PEN 1.26 billion.
