Demand, shutdowns continue to drag Indian HRC activity
Indian hot and cold rolled coil export activity continues to be sluggish in the European market due to persisting weak demand and Indian mills yet to return to exports amid production shutdowns, sources tell Kallanish.
An estimated 300,000-1 million tonnes have been off the market in the April-June quarter, with JSW Steel and AMNS India still reported to be undergoing some maintenance until end-June (see Kallanish passim).
