Local scrap prices fall again in Turkey
Following the decrease seen in imported scrap prices, Turkish steel producers have further reduced local scrap buying prices.
A Turkish scrap supplier tells Kallanish: “The flow into our yards has slowed down as a result of the falls we are observing in Turkish mills’ buying prices. Their demand is also at low levels. We don’t know where this situation is heading.”
Turkish shipbreaking scrap prices have also decreased, by $20/t on-week…
