LKAB plans phosphorus/rare earths extraction from mine waste
Sweden’s LKAB is looking to develop systems and processes to extract phosphorus and rare earth metals from its iron ore mine waste, the company tells Kallanish.
The miner is now investing in plot pant facilities and together with environmental services company Ragn-Sells, will industrialise an innovative technology for upgrading mine waste from iron ore production.
