LKAB increases production but sales and profits fall
Swedish iron ore miner LKAB saw its operating profits more than halve in the first quarter of 2016, despite a recovery in the seaborne iron ore price. Production volumes improved year-on-year but despite this the company is continuing with its intensive cost down programme.
