Liugang starts Fangchenggang HRC mill construction
Liuzhou Iron & Steel's Fangchenggang steel base on 28 August held a groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of its steel flats project.
The project is to build a 1,780mm hot-rolling line with 4.5 million tonnes/year capacity, Kallanish notes. It is expected to supply 2.1m t/y of HRC to a cold reducing mill, 1.1m t/y HRC for sale to the market and 800,000 t/y of HRC for leveling and cutting into narrow strip.
