China's Liugang begins converter renovations
Guangxi province's Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group (Liugang) began a converter renovation project on 17 May, according to the company's official website. The renovations could reduce annual operating costs by some CNY 10 million ($1.52m) as well as cutting emission and energy consumption, Kallanish notes.
