Ilyich, Ukraine, launches merchant CRC sales, and restarts HDG line
Ilyich Iron & Steel Works, belonging to Ukraine’s Metinvest group is restarting its No 2 hot-dipped galvanized (HDG) line, which is part of its cold-rolling shop at Mariupol. The unit will run at full capacity following its 5 March launch, the company tells Kallanish. At the same time, the CR shop will start producing merchant CRC for sale locally and abroad, where its main buyers will be in the CIS and Middle East.
