Latin American steel exports to US increase
Latin America increased its exports of steel products to the US in 2017, according to the US Census Bureau in its preliminary monthly report monitored by Kallanish. Latin America in this context includes South and Central American countries together with Mexico.
Shipments from the region to the US during last year totalled 7,668,683 tonnes, or 1,387,140t more compared to 2016. The value of these exports amounted to $4.89 billion.
