Latin American July finished steel trade deficit widens
Latin America's steel trade deficit widened in July to 1.87 million tonnes, almost 7.9% greater than in June and wider by 108.7% year-on-year, according to the steel producers' association Alacero. The seven-month deficit was 10.91mt, which is a 56.8% expansion compared with 6.96mt in the same period a year earlier.
