Latin America’s December finished steel output falls
Latin American saw finished steel production reduce month-on-month in December 2021. Output was also down year-on-year, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero’s latest report.
Finished steel output reached 4.14 million tonnes in December, 4.4% less over November and 9.9% less y-o-y. Flat steel represented 2.06mt, while longs amounted to 1.94mt and seamless tube to 129,600t.
