LatAm's finished steel production, consumption increase
Latin American finished steel production rose month-on-month in May. Output was also higher on-year for a sixth consecutive month, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero.
Finished steel output reached 4.95 million tonnes in May, up 5.7% over April and 66.9% higher on-year. Long steel represented 2.47mt, while flat steel amounted to 2.37mt and seamless tube to 112,900t.
