LatAm steel trade deficit widens in March
Latin America's steel trade deficit widened in March to 1.75 million tonnes. This was almost 21.3% higher than in February and 23.4% more year-on-year, Kallanish learns from steel producers association Alacero.
The first-quarter deficit was almost 4.77mt, widening by 19.1% compared with 4mt in the same period a year earlier.
