LatAm’s September finished steel production slips sequentially
Latin American finished steel production slowed sequentially in September. Output, however, was higher on-year, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero’s latest report.
Finished steel output reached 4.72 million tonnes in September, 4.6% less over August but 14.2% higher on-year. Long steel represented 2.4mt, while flat steel amounted to 2.18mt and seamless tube to 139,800t.
