LatAm primary iron production remains strong in May
Latin American primary iron production increased sequentially in May for a third consecutive month. Output, however, was down when compared to the same period in 2022, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers association Alacero.
According to its figures, regional primary iron production was at 3.22 million tonnes in May, a growth of 46,800 tonnes over April’s 3.18mt but 6.7% down year-on-year.
