Latin America primary iron production falls in December
Latin American primary iron output decreased in December, steel producers' association Alacero says in its latest monthly report monitored by Kallanish. Production includes data from seven countries.
Regional primary iron output reached 3.28 million tonnes, -1.3% less over November and down -0.5% year-on-year. Of this total, pig iron production represented 85.2% or 2.8mt, while sponge iron amounted to 486,600t.
