LatAm January steel trade deficit reaches 12-month high
Latin America saw its steel trade deficit widen in January to 1.58 million tonnes, almost 5.4% more over December 2020 and 24.3% more year-on-year, according to steel producers' association Alacero. This was the highest imbalance between exports and imports in the region during the last year, Kallanish notes.
