LatAm’s January finished steel production grows
Latin American finished steel production rose on-month in January and was also higher than a year earlier, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero.
Finished steel output reached 4.91 million tonnes in January. This was 29% more than in December 2022 and up 10.7% on-year. Flat steel accounted for 52.9% or 2.6mt of output, while longs and seamless tube were 2.17mt and 138,800t, respectively.
