LatAm finished steel trade deficit widens in June
Latin America saw its trade deficit widen on-month in June, according to steel producers' association Alacero’s latest data. The deficit was 989,000 tonnes, 2% higher over May and 123,000t more on-year, Kallanish notes. The first-half-of-2020 regional finished steel trade deficit was 6.32 million tonnes, however, narrowing by -7.4% on-year.
