Kumba transfers ownership of Thabazimbi mine to ArcelorMittal

South Africa’s Kumba Iron Ore Limited says that it has agreed with ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) to transfer the Thabazimbi iron ore mine to the steelmaker. Production at the mine, part of Kumba subsidiary Sishen Iron Ore Company (SIOC), was halted on 1 September 2016.
