Kumba reduces production guidance on unscheduled maintenance
Kumba Iron Ore has revised production guidance for full-year 2019 down to 42-43 million tonnes from 43-44mt due to unscheduled plant maintenance in the first half of the year.
This plant maintenance at both the Sishen and Kolomela mines resulted in the Anglo American subsidiary reporting a -9% on-year decline in production in the second quarter to 10.54mt. However, this was up 11% on Q1.
