Kumba’s third-quarter production, sales inch down
Kumba Iron Ore saw a slight decline in third-quarter production and sales due to rail service constraints, Kallanish notes.
The company's Q3 sales comprising only exports were down 1% on-year and 2% on-quarter to 10 million tonnes. Production in Q3 decreased by 8% on-year or 800,000t but increased by 5% on-quarter also to 10mt. Sishen mine contributed 71% of output and Kolomela 29%, according to a bourse filing.
