Kumba eyes export opportunities, sees virus weakening confidence
Kumba Iron Ore plans to offset the lower intake from ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) by looking for export opportunities, the firm says.
The firm typically supplies AMSA with 2 million tonnes/year of iron ore, but this is expected to halve in 2020 after the steelmaker decided to close its Saldanha steelworks (see Kallanish passim).
