Kroman revamps rod mill to expand size range
Turkish long steelmaker Kroman has contracted Danieli to revamp its wire rod mill to extend the size range of rod produced, Kallanish learns from the Italian technology provider.
The mill will have receive a TMB-Twin Module Block and a newly designed HSS High-Speed Shear before the sizing block, guaranteeing size tolerance of +/- 0.10mm, and 60% out-of-roundness on 4.5mm diameter rod, according to Danieli. The range of rod produced will expand to 4.5-26mm dia fr…
