Krakatau Steel confirms HRC project start
Indonesia’s PT Krakatau Steel says it plans to start construction of its delayed 1.5 million tonnes/year hot strip mill (HSM) project this month despite its financial difficulties. It also plans to complete a 1.25m t/y blast furnace by September but its projects have been delayed as its revenues slump, Kallanish notes.
