Krakatau Steel officially commissions second HRC mill
Indonesian state-owned producer Krakatau Steel has held an inauguration ceremony for its No.2 hot rolling mill in Cilegon in Banten, which was attended by President Joko Widodo, Kallanish learns.
The mill was built with an investment of $521 million starting from 2016. A consortium of Germany's SMS Group and PT Krakatau Engineering was fully responsible for the construction, and completed trial production in late May (see Kallanish 21 May).
