Korean steel transition needs concrete policy changes: Lee
The Korean government could make concrete policy changes to support the steel sector in its transition to carbon neutrality, according to Heather Lee of Solutions for Our Climate (SFOC).
The sector also faces problems of a lack of dedicated R&D funding, sourcing renewable electricity, and creating a market for green steel, Lee said at the Global Forum on Excess Steel Capacity held by the OECD in Paris last week.
